On the 19th of February the entire transition year traveled to Carlingford for four days. While we were there, we took part in many adventure activities with the goal of team building. Some activities we took part in were laser tag, rope courses, zip lining, kayaking, scavenger hunts, and many other team building exercises. I think that these activities really helped the class bond because some if them required you to trust the other members of your team and work together. I think my favorite part of this trip was an activity called the crystal maze. This was where you were in a small group and you had to work together to complete a series of challenged. When you completes a challenge, you would earn gems. I enjoyed this activity the most because it was challenging but still fun. The activity that I struggles with the most was the high ropes course. During the high ropes course, I realized that I was more afraid of heights than I originally thought. I went on the lowest course but still found it very difficult. I also think the girls fo a lot closer from the time that was spent in the rooms at night. It was nice that we had some free time after out evenings activity where everyone could just relax. I wouldn't usually tend to take part in these activities by my own choice, but I think this was one of the most enjoyable parts of TY so far as it pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
