YSI was so empowered by the Tiglin presentation and they really wanted to do something to help their cause. We were told by Tiglin that when you have no home, it also feels like you have no dignity as you know longer have access to products that everyone should have. This gave YSI the idea to make dignity bags. They are bags filled with hygiene products such as tooth brushes and wipes, food, etc. Each year was told which product that they were responsible to bring in. Together, TY placed all of the products into separate bags that Tiglin would then deliver to homeless people all around the Dublin area. I think that this was an amazing idea because everyone deserved to have basic hygiene products available to them. This entire experience made me want to get more involved in the issues that are faced by people in my community. I would love to volunteer at Tiglin one day.
